Bearing Clearances, Mains and Rods.

I've searched here, without sucess. The information is not even in the Chilton manual!

An online source gave the clearances as: Mains 0.0010 to 0.0025 inch
Rods 0.0015 to 0.0020 inch
That seems REALLY tight AND close.
Can someone confirm these ?

Engine is 2000 Cherokee 4.0

Those numbers are correct according to my Haynes Manual,

Con Rod:
Desired 0.0015"-0,002" Allowable 0.001"-0.003"

Main Bearings:
Desired 0.002" Allowable 0.0025"

Thanks for the verification.
I checked one Rod on the replacement engine and it came in right at anout .0018" The bearings look like they just came out of the box; not a mark on them. No embedded grit, all pure silver in color. Perfect.
