The fault appears to be intermittent and in the starting circuit. When it fails to start again do the test I suggested before anything else. That test will provide good info. Before starting take a voltage reading of your battery. That is the voltage you will look for during the test.

Yeah im with you there. Its not delivering power to the starter at times. Should have brought my meter, took work off thurs/friday and went to our cabin.. Oh well, bet she'll start until we're in a hurry

True. Though my NSS is brand new so I ruled it out now.

I had the exact same problem with my 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Got to work great, when it was time to go home, all lights come on and everything and no start. Looked on here for tips, banged the starter, nothing. Got a 12V Test light and tested around until found one side of the starter relay fuse was out, replaced it, works great now. Whew! Just wanted to add to this thread... 2.99 problem thank goodness cuz starter, alternator and battery all new...
