which ones are better, lead free or with lead.

I'd get the lead one. That first one looks like a cheap POS that will crack and leave you stranded.

I wont be going to auto zone but I was just using those as a refrance. deffinatly the with lead look better but Im asking about will lead provide a better connection or is it better to not have lead. I might go with the screw in type when I get a diffent battery.

Not sure if the lead makes a difference

Lead has been used forever and it works. They have some fancy looking brass colored ones there but they rust after a while.

I have the lead-free on my Jeep (very first thing repaired on my vehicle - the original cables were missing most of their insulation). They're well-constructed and I'm not worried about them coming apart.

I measured the originals and they're 28" and 32".
