A bad suprise from Moog...
Long story short.. I was buying some parts for my front end on RockAuto and must have selected the wrong Axle U-joints as I did not double-check. So when my parts came... I ended up with a set of AC-Delco Axle U's.
Frustrated at myself, I went over to my local Advanced Auto, and picked up a set of Moog's knowing I'd return the Delco's anyway.
I bought them for 15 dollars more, bring them home.. open the box and noticed that they looked very similar to what I saw in the AC Delco box... sure enough...
It's the exact same u-joint...casting identifications and all. I know places share parts, and farm-out/source from single manufacturers... but really??? Moog? Com'on. Can trust anyone.
I returned all sets.. and bought the Spicer 5-760x's (which I should have done from the start) online for less than I paid for either the Delco's or the Moog's.

AC Delco is like Mopar is like Motorcraft. Did you really think they actually manufacture their entire catalog?
Federal Mogul is a well respected manufacturer of OE and aftermarket replacement parts (perhaps you've heard of Precision, Fel-Pro, or Reliabilt), so it makes sense that AC Delco would source components from them. Of course they're not Spicer but they're not FRAM either.
Technically I guess RockAuto sent you the right U joints. Lol

The point I was making is that I was a little shocked about is they bothe were the exact same part... casting #'s and all.
Not a shot at any quality of either. The joints felt like quality. Moog and AC Delco have been around a long time, and both make (sell) good stuff. I've been tinkering with cars since the mid-80's and had them all.. Ford, Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Mopar... Back then for all my GM parts, I used AC Delco... but that was when we still made stuff in the US. .. I was just annoyed that they were the exact same part. I wasn't expecting to see two different quality auto part companies selling the same piece.
As it turned out, I returned everything and ordered the Spicer set, which are now installed.
Comparing the Moog/AC Delco premium to the Spicer 5-760x... the Spicers are definitely beefier and feel a lot heavier than the other units.
And yes.. Rockauto is usually about $10-30 cheaper than local shops depending on the part. I've been using them for years.

I just recently replaced all 5 U-joints in my daughter's '97 Grand.
O'Reilly's offered a heavy-duty off-road/rock crawler joint that was about $7 more than standard equipment grade.
Since my daughter mainly mall-crawls, I felt like the heavy duty ones were the way to go.
