Is this bad??
My rear differential is leaking out of the plug looking thing a little bit. Is this ok?
in the diff cover? if so thats where you put fluid in it. get a 3/8 wratchet and check to see if its loose
Uh... Its a rubber plug on the cover. (the rear side)
The rubber plug fails to seal very good once it gets old, sounds like it's time for a new one. I need to replace mine too.
lol that would explain it. im guessing that means getting new fluid. Where would i put the new fluid in at? And where are the "good" plugs??

Nope Jeep meant for them to seep out like that....Oh come on stop thinking, just replace it... Of course it won't trash your rear end but its just making everything get nasty for the next time you're down there... |
Dealership for the plug, and yeah check your fluid and fill at the hole the rubber plug is in if needed. Fluid should be right up to the bottom of that fill hole.

Previous owner on mine tossed the rubber plug thing and threaded the whole and stuck a regular screw in type plug in. Works wonders.
