Hi folks, first time poster here....

The wipers, radio and turn signals quit working on my '94 Cherokee (I doubt that any of this matters, but it's a tilt column; 4.0 six, 4WD.) They still work when the keyswitch is turned to acessory.

The keyswitch seemed hard to turn for a while. Thinking that the switch was falling apart, I replaced it. This has not fixed the original problem.

Do these circuits have separate wires coming off the switch? It's possible that a fusible link off of the run circuit is bad, but I have no idea if the Jeep is wired that way. I have checked through a Haynes manual, but it doesn't have a schematic for power distribution.

Probobly the ignition switch. Its like $10. Located under the dash, on top of the steering column.

I played around with things today and determined that it's the switch... again. The plastic around the accessory terminal on the old switch is discolored like it overheated. The new switch was a $10.00 Autozone part, and the start return spring and detents are too weak. I rotated the switch back away from the start position and everything started working.

I think that the real root cause of the problem is an old AC blower motor. I've gond through two resistor networks in the past year or so, and I tend to keep the fan on high. I think that it's just drawing too much current.

I had the exact same problem. Same accessories didn't work and so I looked into a bit and wound up paying NAPA $60 for a new ignition switch. Too bad I couldn't score the $10 switch like you. But I'm glad you got the problem fixed, that thing can be a pain in the rear.
