It's hot and everybody is looking for the ultimate fan(s) for their 4.0 XJ. I was the pick and pull yesterday and ran across these. They are pushers from a Land Rover Discovery and from the size of the wire and the number of blades they look like they mean business. they are 11" in diameter, the perfect size for an XJ radiator.

Pushers are ok but from what I've seen cause more issue than they help.

Wonder if you could reverse them to pull through?

Good find though...

I think the shape of the blade wouldn't work as good in reverse. Like an airplanes wing going backwards. JMO

they are DC so just reverse the polarity. Instant reverse!

if they were flat blades they wouldnt really move much air. what issues might they cause?

If you turn the propellers around, separating them from the motor shaft, they will work in reverse, anyhow the rover fans have a low efficiency blade design.
This is what i have chosen:
Audi A6 twin high efficiency profile fans. Note the design of the blades.
