Default Axle swap or spacers and lockers?

I am considering swapping my axles to a dana 44 front and a corporate 14 rear with full lockers and 4:10 gears. I want to do this for the wider base considering my lift is 7.5". I get a lot of body roll. Or should I just buy 2" spacers and detroit lockers. Tell me what you guys think.

why a 14b and 44? thats a half ton front axle and a 1 ton rear axle. what are they out of?

why 4.10's? u gonna run some 31's with that 7.5" of lift and fullwidths?

I have 4:10'S right now on 33's. I plan on running the same tire size. They are out of a military blazer.

14b is a boat anchor

that 44 is low pinion and passenger side drop

even if they are free, they are not worth swapping into an xj.

if you want more stability cut that lift in half

hell yea they are worth puttin in an xj. i just picked up a full width 60 rear with a im scouting for a full width 60hp i agree with ktm on cuttin the lift down to about 5.5 to 6 inches 7.5 inches is way to tall for 33's imo i got buddies that run 5.5 to 6 with 35's i run 6 and 32's cuz its what i can afford, the full width axles are amazing just plan on doing A LOT of trimming to get the flex you want or even a dove nose and comp cut.

id rethink the 14bolt tho unless you want to run 38's+ go with a full width 9 inch and full width 44

A low pinion pass drop 44 is way to much work. Specially with 33s. The 14 bolt is huge! And I wouldn't think about running on anything less than 37s. It will kill your ground clearance.

4:10ed full widths are almost useless unless you're running dual cases or an Atlas....IMO anyways.

7.5" is a lot for 33s. I'm at 6.5" on 35s.

How do you go about connecting the front DS to a Pass drop axel?

I'd run a spacer if anything at all. Yea, I say drop that lift down. I have .5 past you on 37's and I got a crap load of room for flexing.

A Chevy full width frront axle on an XJ requires a different transfercse. That's alot more work than most people want to mess with.

A 14B rear might seem like a good idea till you actually look at one under a 4x4 and see just how massive the rear diff is. Plan on dragging it over everything.

A better option is to run a wheel with far less backspacing (I run 3.25" B.S.), proper fender trimming, and taller bumpstops to limit up travel.

X2 on the dragging. You won't be happy on the end of the strap constantly when running 31s

Ok here is a picture of my front fenders. I have no problem flexing but in the rear I rub a lot with 33's. So you guys are saying if I cut my rear fender I can run bigger tires. Also what does the b.s. on a tire mean?

Back spacing. Distance between the inside bead to the mounting face of the wheel.

You can move your rear flare up about 1.5-2" and still keep the stock flare. I'm sure that will eliminate most if not all the rubbing back there. Then, you can come down in height a bit. That will make it more stable.

you can also shave a 14 bolt so the said dragging wont happen as often.
