Axle shims without sye
So I recently removed my tc drop on my 99 np242 3.5RE. Front drive shaft is happy.
Back drive shaft is not. The kicker is I used an angle finder on my phone and the rear yoke is sitting at 9* and the tc output is at 6.5-7*, which should be within the realm of 3* play for suspension movement. It's got vibes still. Stock shaft
U joints feel tight, perhaps used to the old angle?
My real question is would it not be ok to throw a 3* shim in backwards to push the yoke down?

The vibration issue on the late XJs is due to the yoke being out too far on the splines, so the driveline can wobble a bit. I think you will have to put the spacers back in, or better yet go to a slip yoke eliminator which will fix the problem the right way
