Is it a 1967 Kaiser pickup or a 2001 Grand Cherokee?

So I'm assuming you have either a 00-01 XJ or a ZJ since you're wanting to go to a high pinion axle. Get a 1992-1999 D30 with 3.55 gears out of an XJ, bolt everything on, and be done with it. Tell us a little more about what your vehicle is, why you're wanting to do a swap, and what exactly you need to know. No such thing as too much info when it comes to Jeeps :)

I wrote the years wrong 95-97. He game me more numbers also but I'm not sure. I want a hp for my xj build. I just want to know what this axle is from and if it will bolt in and work

O ya and my jeep is a 89. So my question is will this axle I'm looking at bolt in and what year style breaks will it need. I want the info on the axle so if it will work and what year I need to get parts for when it comes time to replacing them

Since yours is an 89 then it would already have a HP axle but it may be a Disconnect axle.

All the brakes should be the same.

To keep this simple I would suggest that you reuse the knuckles and brakes that you already have on your Jeep if they're different.

Just bolt the new axle housing in your Jeep, use your old knuckles, with the new shafts and you'll be good to go.

I'm not sure why you're wanting to go thru all this effort just to get rid of the disconnect when you can swap to a one piece shaft and be done with it.

well i feel stupid i have one just went to look and i never even thought to look. its a hp 30 without a cab and thats whats i wanted. i don't have abs in my 89 so should i look for shaft out of a d30 with abs and use u-joints? and will the u-joints be the 297 ones because they came out of a jeep with abs? and what diff body styles had this?

Why are you wanting ABS shafts?

Just put some 760-x joints in the shafts that you have a drive it.

X2 on what Lowrange is saying. If your Jeep has a non-cad axle and ABS, but weaker u joints, just put the larger joints in your shafts and leave it be.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Trust me, especially if it's a daily driver. Unless you're talking about serious upgrades. Even then, tread lightly in what you choose to fix.

No that's good to know its a dd but also my toy I have a ram I drive as my main vehicle. I'm gonna lift the jeep and do a 8.8 in the rear. I wanna do a ring and pinion swap to 4.10 and just lookin to make it a little beefer with out going nuts cuz I'd like to find a 44 front but over time ya know. So my shafts I can just install the bigger ujoints and be ok
