AXEL HELP

I have a 1996 XJ with a Rustys 6.5 Lift. Looking for a rear axel. My question is Im looking for a Limited-Slip rear axel that will bolt up to my xj? Out of what truck/jeep can i find this?

The only "bolt-in" option that I can think of is a '97 or newer Chrysler 8.25 rear end with the LSD option. Can't remember for sure, but I believe it was called the "trac-lock".

Your next best option is the Ford 8.8 rear end with factory disk brakes, 31 spline axles, and LSD. BUT, it's not a direct bolt in and requires welding on new spring perches and using wheel spacers as it's more narrow than an XJ rear.

What size tire are you running?
