Does anyone know how much to rebuild a AX-5 and how easy is to swap one into a auto Cherokee? I can get one stuck in 4th for $20 and just wanted to know if it was worth it.

if its already out and you find someone that works at a tranny shop but does work on the side in there basement then your good... maybe 4 or 5 hundred bucks... tranny shops want like at least $1000 for just about any tranny rebuild... but it comes with a warranty :) swapping from auto to manuel well... youll probl want to make sure you have a cherokee in the junk yard with all the clutch pedals and everything else still in tact... if not then it would be interesting... i wouldnt dick with it...

if its stuck in a gear you will need a SYNCHRONIZER kit

and if you have a 4.0 dont do it
it not worth the work
