Default AX-15 input bearing cross

Hey guys, 95 5-speed with an odd question. Has anyone ever replaced their input shaft bearing with something other than the 40TM05 bearing? I'm looking at SKF 6308 2RSJEM. It crosses over (if you do a lot of digging) and I am still gathering more info such as RPM limits but I wanted to see if anyone else has done this with success.
I'm not an engineer so I don't know what makes one bearing better than another but I think SKF has to be good as GE uses them on Aero Derivative Gas Turbines.
Thanks for any input!

Edit- By crosses over I mean dims, type, and style. I haven't run across an AX-15 application guide that shows the SKF as an option.

Just a follow up, the bearing is good for 12k RPMs.
