If those studs are supposed to come out, why didnt Chrysler just use bolts?

Good question. I usually have the issue where the nut won't loosen on the stud and the whole stud comes out. This happened with my clutch slave and though I bought new bolts, they just didn't seem to fit correctly so I ended up putting the studs back in as if they were bolts.
