I was in a hurry and turned off my ignition while my shifter was still in drive. Now they keys are stuck in the ignition and the shifter wont go into reverse or park, it shifts all the way down to 1-2, 3, Drive and Neutral. I have had no problems with my Aw4 before and hope this is an easy fix to correct my dumb mistake. Help!

if i had to guess, it sounds like your interlock cable came lose in the steering column i had something similar but i was able to shift to park but just couldnt get the key out.

Set the parking brake, loosen the ignition switch bolts at the base of the steering column.

If that doesn't work pull the shifter handle and make sure the **** beads are intact.

If the beads are OK pull the console and check the interlock cable. (not my pics)
