AW4 service
This is my question. Have a 01 Limited AW4, it has a Rough Country Long Arm kit. Can't get to the rear bolts on the pan, without dropping the long arm completely. So would it be safe to just have the system flushed without changing out the filter?

A trans service on an AW4 is drain and fill only.
Dex/Merc fluid. Every 30,000 miles under normal service and every 15,000 miles for severe service. |
Brown tint in my fluid. Drained (four qts), refilled. Shifts wonderfully. 800 miles ago. Plan to do another drain and fill soon. Aw4 is as tough as the 4.0. Just maintain it and spend money/time on more fun things.

Bought a case of trans fluid, will do first drain tomorrow.
