AW4 OD Bog Problem
My 96 automatic XJ has 189xxx miles. Slowly, through the last 10,000 miles, my overdrive gear shiftpoint has become lower and lower in rpm, now to the point where it completely bogs the engine down to 1000-1200rpms. What or why is this happening, and can it be fixed? The only notable problem with my transmission is that it needs a new torque converter, and that is only noticeable under hard acceleration.
Let me know what you think, thanks. |
TPS is a major player in that function

I actually replaced it a bit ago due to a wheeling incident.. I did not have the boging issue before or after the replacement..

I have not, but it looks interesting
Good signals can't travel well through crappy connections. |

I've decided not to replace mine because I'm planning on an ax-15 swap... So dropping the money on a new converter would be a waste on my end. |
You should also adjust your TV cable on the throttle body.
