Anyone Used 4x4point.com.au?
 

Hi,

It's time again for a service and I had thought to go all out and perform a full tune up. Since I am out in the country a bit, I decided to order the parts over the internet but am dubious about the quality of 4x4point.com.au.

The oil filter had Chinese writing on it and looked a little worse for wear, as did the fuel filter which wasn't branded and arrived in a plastic bag scratched as anything. I am not putting these on my Jeep and ordered suitable replacements. However, I also received new spark plug leads and a transmission filter, and am waiting on a distributor cap/rotor and ignition coil from this company - but am not certain of the quality any more.

The idea behind this tune up is to maintain and perhaps improve the performance of my Jeep, not jeopardize it. Does anyone have experience with 4x4point.com.au, and how do you tell if any of the above parts are sub par?

My Jeep is running fine so wanted to also hear thoughts on whether I should change the spark plugs/leads, distributor cap/rotor and ignition coil anyway or just keep them handy?

At first glance to prices look a bit high for me.
I always use Google for almost any part I'm going to purchase online.
Amazon has treated me very well.
BTW: basic champion plugs are the only plug you should run in the 4.0, I have 5 friends that work or have worked at the dealership with dozens of ASE certs that have confirmed this fact.

Why did you post the links? Seems like Ant already had that info..

But on point- I always prefer OEM parts. You can definitely go OEM for what you want to replace. Sometimes it's a little bit more expensive than parts from online dealers, but they tend, IMHO, to be far more reliable.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have already purchased the parts, so was more curious about whether they are okay to use or would cause more harm than good.

I had heard about using Champion plugs, although have a set of Bosch Platinum plugs - are they no good?
