Anyone tried MSD Ignition coil rail?

Looks like my original one is finally giving up and I see the factory ones are on average $200 but I notice MSD (Holley) has one...p
art # 82738 for $139. Anyone here used one of theirs? Thanks!

Also hope everyone has a long fun 4th of July weekend!

Might be about the same price as the MSD but maybe do the Viper coil mod instead.
OK so it would not be some high performance coil but...
Get the bracket and harness from Ksuspension.
Buy the Mopar coil for the JK with the V6.

And any wires for a 4.0 with a distributor.
Oh and don't forget those little spark wire holder bracket things.
Love to take credit for this but I just followed 00xj freedoms lead.

They are mine. The bracket comes with 4 bolts for the coil.
Aftermarket ones have 4 holes. The Mopar only 2. Instead of putting two more holes in like 00xj freedom I just used the 2.
But if you close I did make one slight adjustment.
The overflow tank is held in with some sheet metal screws.
I replace them small bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts.
I figured cause of the added weight might not be a bad idea.
You can see 00xj freedom's work here. Start at Post #11.

Hey Ralph I like the fact your plug wires aren't extremely long and HANGING everywhere like some pics I have seen. Also you might want to check your coolant level it looks little low on the overflow tank!

Nope.
Coolant level is right where I want it to be when cold.
Right between the full and add.

Well seeing how K Suspension has a 4th of July coupon code "Freedom" for 17.76% off went and bought there setup for $106.87...not including shipping which for me was $13.25. Now to keep eye for a good price on a Chrysler coil and have one for backup!

Nice price with the promo code.
I figured just buying the harness and bracket made better sense. But of course that was with paying full price. Which is $130.
The coil they sell will be a Spectra. You tack on the price of the Mopar coil to the harness and bracket purchase price it comes to about $125.
But there was also another reason I did not want the whole set up.
The spark plug wires. If you watch their video see how the boots are straight at the coil end.
I figured 90 degree boots at the coil would route better and cleaner.
Which is what any Jeep 4.0 wire set for a distributor Jeep is so......

Yea I did a quick comparison and with the code came out head. I saw the ends figured if I don't like em I'll just make me some. I got plenty of wire to play....been experimenting with my Nova on making wires.

I was thinking about trying to make the wires myself too.
But I figured I might do a poor job so figured just buy some.
But I bought 8mm ones.

Paid little less for them at the time. Thinking about $33 out the door.
