Anyone running 31s on your stock XJ? if so, pictures please

Thanks in advance. I currently have Firestone Destination AT 30s with just a tiny bit of rub at full tilt. I can get 31s at a good price and am wondering if they'll fit. I honestly thoroughly confused at this point because some say yes and some say no.

and this is just for a DD, no off roading. I have a 97 XJ Sport

I don't have pictures but did put 31's on a 2001 with a 2" lift and did get some significant rub at full lock. Put on some 1/4" spacers and it took care of it. This was with a 2" lift. No pics, sorry.

It's not mine I saw it on NAXJA and the guy said it rubs on speed bumps..other people have said 30's would be perfect

How many post are you going to put up about tires? You can keep one going for ever.

I don't think you will stuff 31" under the stock xj. It will rub over bumps (unless you bump stop the hell out of it) and def scrub on turns..usually requires 2.5 - 3" of lift to clear correctly
Good luck!

First pic is tire size 31 x 10.5 x 15, Before 3" Rough Country Lift. Tires rubbed real bad when making sharp turns.

Second pic is after lift installed, Rides much better and tires no longer rub...

Just get 235/75-15 and use your money for gas instead.

i have 31" guard dogs and a 3" lift, they rub when the suspension compresses while turning. You're not going to want to put 31's on stock suspension. You'll be miserable.

Yeah I told him that in another post he started about the same subject.

This guy is trying to get branded as an askhole.
