Was doing some work under my xj and noticed this plug but can't find anything it goes to and have never noticed it before. Any help identifying is appreciated. Not sure how else to find out.

Is that part of your o2 sensor? Lol

O2 sensor has 4 wires on his model. Square plug.

Correct my bad. Hmm I know I have a hanging plug down in the same area but I believe it's for my oil sending. Unit..

Do you have an overhead console?

95Cherokee May 3, 2013 10:30 AM

I'm thinking there's an option or accessory that you DON'T have, if you had it, that plugged up hole would have something attached to it, or something running through it.

Xj88 May 3, 2013 10:41 AM

I asked about the OHC cause it almost looks like the temp sensor

Parsnip May 3, 2013 11:04 AM

I'm gonna have to say oil sending unit or some kajigger of that sort, I know I have one too but its plugged up to something, ill take a peek under her when I'm out if class

pk94xj May 3, 2013 11:38 AM

I don't have an OHC. Hoping its to something I don't have haha

I'm on my phone so the pic is small, are they wires or plastic tubes? Almost looks like the vacuum lines for the 4x4 actuator on the front diff.

Miles

They are wires that look like they should plug into something under the engine and over the axle. Sorry it's so small (shoulder issue so couldn't get my arm any closer). Wanna search this but I don't even know where to start

Oil sender is on the other side of the engine.

Zooming in, they look like vacuum lines of some sort. There are no round barrel type connectors on my 90, (that I remember). Also the lines "have such graceful curves" :detective:

dBusteR May 3, 2013 10:03 PM

What side is that? Sorry I can't tell from the photo.

Any chance of a better closer photo? Looks almost like some kinds of sensor connector....

It's the left.
