I'm not even going to comment on how stupid i think those are. As far as sealing them. tape and silicone sealent. Tape off what you don't want the sealant on, lay a bead, wipe the extra off and peal the tape while its not yet cured.

I never said I actually liked these specifically.. they are not for show and they are not for parking lots.. these even have strobe feature(!) so I am almost avoiding them based on I have to look myself in the mirror and I might have to kick my own *%@.. If I ever accidentally turned the strobes on..

The concept is sound and a good idea if you are out at night (or need to get under your truck at night so see what the H$*& you hit/broke..

Id rather pay a bit more and have something that will last..
I know how to install crappy ones..
I want to know where to get good ones at a value (without the strobe option)

There she is. Keep in mind it now has a proper lift and no rear bumper :P

I've got a bunch of little cosmetic things that are starting to bug the crap out of me. One of these days i'm gonna do a full-detailing and fix all of them.

That truck looks deeply loved! Nothing wrong with that.. Proper lift? Sounds like you spent some money on her.. hope she returned the favor

I'll get some more pics up when it gets out of the garage.. welding up the lower track bar brace reinforcement.. installing a budget bumper ($190, looks like a $500+).. then its off the the drive shaft shop..

Ill get pics up.. I cant wait.. "The Never Ending Build" will live again... !!!

I spent $260 on OME packs for the rear, plus $140 for Nitro 9000s all around, and $40 on RC 3" coils up front. And yes, a proper lift. the previous owner had 6" long shackles on the rear and coil spacers up front. not spring spacers but those $20 POC things from autozone that actually spread individual coils apart to gain you some lift.

I was excited to hear.. that does sound like a proper lift.. no blocks and all spring.. cant get better than that!!

I have to turn in.. its late.. riding along with my brother-in-law tomorrow night and Im pushing back my sleep schedule to stay up.. he is SWAT in training!! Should be good times..

have a good one and GET PICS UP on this site on your profile.. it costs nothing and flicker goes down and you loose pics and links to them become dead.. You have a nice jeep though.. 91/5speeds REPRESENT !!

Good Luck

Here is a link for a cheap alternative.

I'm not sure I like this set up, but it is cheap.
Here is an article for a similar set up

I did this type of lighting when i had my CJ. But I used the Rubber encased sealed beam that is available at nearly every store on earth that sells auto supplies. Heck, I even used them on my tow rig wired up to the dinky little reverse lights. They throw enough additional light to see in the short distance needed, and they are nearly indestructable. The rubber housing can take alot of abuse, and the glass is a little thicker than your normal driving lights. They might be tagged under tractor lights? on the packaging. Just try to locate an area that they will be somewhat protected from being crushed by the jeep sliding over a rock and trust me you will be happy with the results.
