Anyone ever thought about doing this?

I was sitting here thinking about the coolant in my Jeep and how a lot of people complain of overheating because they're coolant passages gunk up. Has anyone ever fabricated or found a kit for an inline coolant filter like some diesels have? I was thinking about fabbing up something. Btw, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I thought since it pertained to improving the cooling system it would be Cherokee Tech.

I have used C.L.R. with good results. i work at a vw shop and we use it to clear heater cores. works really well. It's Calcium. Lime. Rust. remover. most any home improvement stores has it. I think most of the gunk and rust comes from the coolant hose that has the spring in it to keep it from collapsing. the springs rusts and breaks up alittle at a time.

No need for a filter, a 15-20 minute flush and re-fill with new antifreeze/coolant every other year will be better. Owner neglect is the main reason for over heating, it's not a Jeep thing.
