I'm looking for the same too... I know that you can put in zj & wj rear seats with minor mods... I would like to have tumble/folding rear seats with 4 or 5 point harnesses for the kids.

Wow! I've never ridden in the back. Or heard my dog complain. Now 4 or 5 point harnesses for the kids, I could possibly see. If their young teenagers, or older. Younger than that, I would think it would be illegal. (with all the child restraint laws now days.) As for all the trouble of modifying zj, wj. I would stick with the stock model. Besides 90% of the time, mine are folded down. I would rather have the cargo space. Wasn't trying to be rude. JMO!

saw a thread a little while ago of a guy that put front ZJ head rests into/onto his stock xj rear seat. Looked perfectly stock once reupholstered.
I think I will do the same. Plus new seats in the front, then custom semi-full cage, 5-point harnesses in the front, and 4-points in the back. Corbeau makes some sweet harnesses with alternate mounting options, like ratchet tethers in the back. Now that would be great for the kids... (yes, older kids).
And your right... the dog doesn't complain.

i am eventually going to mount two racing seats in the front and two in the back with a 12" sub in the middle with a custom box as an armrest and it will take up some space in between the seats

well since my dog is a pita she doesnt ride in the jeep. shes always trying to jump up into my lap. imo the stock rear seats suck. i dont ride back there, but im going to get some aftermarket front seats and i want one for the rear too. something a little more comfortable for the passengers.

I do like the idea of four bucket seats, With the sub between the back two. I think it would look pretty neat. Except for having to give up possibly cargo space, (When the seat is folded down.) Any ways, My dog is a 100 lbs., Male weinaraner. I even touch my keys, and he is waiting at the door. All hyped up, ready to go! 90% of time, I do take him. (He's my buddy, co-pilot, and a great dog!)

just to clear things up... WJ rear seats will not go without MAJOR modding... you might think they would by looking but i tried... they would have to sit bout 8in forward to get around the wheel wells... the WJ seats have to shallow of a groove for the wheel wells unlike the XJ's... so unless you plan on moving your rear axle back or the back of the seat forward its not gonna happen...
