Well, Like it states anybody? If so what is the trick. Wife's jeep has a nice windshield, but the rubber is bad, and I wanted to clean the channel before painting. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks Dan

pretty hard, even for the pros to get out a urethane bonded screen without breaking it, they usually just use a new one
if they want to be serious, the tool has a suction cup inside & out screen, with a cutting wire, and winding handles...a pro tool
the bush mechanic equivalant is wound electric guitar wire ~ .030 to .050" diameter (low D, A or E strings)
snig it thru in the corner with a dental pick, bit of heat on the wire with butane, start cutting

I did my old 67 mustang a couple times removing and re-installed. Looks like the xj is pretty much the same design windshield is inside the rubber seal and the rubber seal is sealed to the windshield opening and I guess it has clips between it also for the trim. I cut it out by using think it was a fishing line (30 years ago so I could be wrong). I wold just let a pro do it since they have the correct tools to do it correctly...I hope.
