Question Anybody else have this?

Here's the thing: I need to replace the turn signal switch (i.e. cancelling cam), but have this black lock plate on the column (pics below). Does anyone else have this and how do you remove it?

You should not have to worry about removing it.

All the work you are doing is going to be UNDER the steering wheel.

Cancel cam?... Signals don't cancel after turn?
Most times its the small springs that fail not the cancel cam.
IF that is the problem.
IF NOT...just ignore what I just typed.

Thumbs up

Thanks, very much appreciated!. That thing just looked a bit foreboding so I'd just check. Only hassle it gave me was putting the front cover back on after installing LEDs in the gauges. Haven't checked the cam yet, just thought I'd just replace the whole thing as precaution.
