Any Tucson Gurus out there.
Sorry in advance if I posted in he wrong section.
So basically I'm looking for some xj gods in Tucson that can help and guide me in building a stroker and my build in general. I have been reading a lot about them on this site and all the others that previous members have posted. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined but I've never rebuilt an engine and don't feel comfortable doing it alone. I looked into a shop doing it and qouted me 6k, which is ridiculous imho. I'm deployed right now and won't be home till the last half of the year but once I get back I want to start my build. So, if there's anyone out there who's willing to help me get my xj where I want, I'd also help you in anyway that I can and maybe a friendship could come out of it. Thanks!

Hey I'm in Tucson and I can help you pull you motor and help tear down the top end but bottom end I don't do. Also, I can help you put it back in. I have a lot of tools minus a cherry picker. I have a new welder too. Let me know if that works for you. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and maybe me and you can figure it out together. I've done entire quad engines but never more than a top end on a vehicle

That sounds awesome. At least we have a good starting point. I'm sure I can acquire a cherry picker and any of the random things. My dad does body work in Tucson but knows nothing about engines. And if you have welder then the possibilities are endless! Thanks!
