i thought i told you you have a turdy five lol.... most likely this one has 3:55 gears but theres also a good chance its a tow package with 3:73 which is why they feel a little lower. or the pervious owner changed the gearing on you to something numerically higher.

Very rare chance its 3.73's... if its even a automatic... he's got 3.55's... pretty sure the 3.73's only came in the 8.25 29 spline axles in 99... in fact Dana 35's were just about phased out in this body style I think...

I thought I read the 3.73's were on 8.25's only somewhere... I don't know though... I've only seen one 3.73 97+ rear and it was a 8.25... but that's not enough to make me sure of it...

rear end.
look for a trans cooler in the front. this can also determine if you have 3.73 gears or not. mine has a trans cooler and i have 3.73. but yours looks like the 3.55/ chrysler 8.25 rear end. you cant just determine by looking at the cover though.

Climb under there and look at it. The Dana 35 will have DANA stamped on the cover. There should also be a tag on the drivers side of the cover with the gear ratio stamped in it. a 3:55 will read 3 55

3.73 came stock in the jeep grand cherokee with the all time 4x4 and the cherokees from 93-95 with the tow package if they didnt come with a C8.25 (very rare that it came with the dana 35 equipped with 3.73...more for the grand cherokee)
