any experince with nates 4x4?

the reason i ask is this bumper is on sale right now
97-01
Nates 4x4
84-96
Nates 4x4

any way i thought id ask to see if any body delt with them before and also spread the word on this sale since it seems like a good deal

the way i see it is i was going to spend $100 on the d ring shackle kit from here XJ Recovery Products but this bumper is only $60 more and looks bad arse

should i buy? :dunno:

i had looked into buying on of those a while back. the only complaint i've heard of him is that he's lacking in the customer service dep't. it is a good looking bumper though.

i just bought the slimline bumper for the 97-01 for like 420 shipped that is not bad for a winch bumper. the only problem i have is he never anwsers his phone. he did email me when i asked him a question but it took a while.

REWSTER Feb 13, 2009 06:44 PM

that seems to be the answer im getting when i did a search, about how long did it take to get your bumper,is it made to order or does he have them made already?
thanks for the help

a1racer Feb 13, 2009 06:50 PM

i just ordered it 3 days ago so as far as how long i dont know but from what i have herd it takes about 3 to 5 weeks to get it.he is a one man shop so he is the only one building them as far as i know so i belive they are made to order. you could try calling but email might be your best chance of getting a hold of him i think. but every other fourm i checked said his stuff was very solid and well built

REWSTER Feb 13, 2009 06:53 PM

ill probaly try caling tomorrow and if he dosnt answer give him an email he is actualy a vender on here so i could PM him and see if he answers that also
i thought i read it was a one man shop but wasnt sure

a1racer Feb 13, 2009 06:55 PM

Nothing wrong with their products. Shipping can be very slow.

I ordered a bumper two weeks ago from Nate. My experience with him so far has been a good one! When I spoke with him on the phone he was friendly and answered all of my questions. We ordered three bumpers, and he gave my friends and I a break on shipping, so that was appreciated!

Can't wait to get the bumper here and on my Jeep!

I ordered my rear bumper w/ tire carrier back in the middle of December and still haven't received mine. I got ahold of him finally 3 weeks ago over the phone and he said it would be in my hands 5 days after I talked to him but it's still not here. Kinda being a PIA because I have been trying to get ahold of him again since the past 10 days and hasnt returned any of my messages... don''t know what to really think about him and his company anymore.

i ordered a rear bumper for my xj from him and after 6 weeks i called him asking where my bumper was he told me it will be at my house in another two weeks! After he said that i told him i wanted to cancel my order and he told me it would be in the mail that day. So i got my rear bumper and i herculined it and i installed it to find out that the drivers side hangs a solid inch lower then the passenger side. there is no way to adjust it either! This summer i will be giving that POS of a bumper to one of my friends and im going to get a bumper from JCROFFROAD.com. They make a very good product and their customer service is great!!!

I just picked up a bumper from nate on Friday. No, he doesn't answer you quickly. Yes it takes a long time to get a bumper. Is it worth it? I got a slimline winch bumper for 300 bucks. He even threw in the hardware for me because I picked it up at his shop(and had to wait for a little while) It looks awesome. If you need a bumper right away, and money is no object, buy one somewhere else. If you are trying to save money, and don't need one for a few weeks, then buy one from nate. He recently downsized and moved his shop. He doesn't have anyone else working for him now. He is busy welding all the time. That is why his customer service isn't so good, but thats also how he keeps the cost so low.
