another shock question
in the process of getting my jeep ready to go to trucksgonewild in november. my front shocks are gone. im now running 2" in spacers. another member here told me that 93-98 Grand Cherokee V8 Upcountry shocks are a direct bolt in and are about 30 bucks each. anyone got the part number. if not what is a shock i can get at parts store that is direct bolt in and is good for a 2-3 inch lift? thanks

I thought the up country was only 1 inch more than a stock xj,I also think GC are 1 or 1.5 longer also. Anyone know for sure on this. You could get away with it if you have bpe I beleive. Isn't the up country the factory lifted xj?

with up country you can have up to 4.5" up front without spacers.Jeep Cherokee Suspension - XJ Budget Lift - "How-To" Lift Your Jeep Cherokee XJ 4" on a Budget
|
The Ford or UpCountry Grand Cherokee coils will get you 2"... add the poly spacer & you're at 4"... If you plan to upgrade later then you can keep the spacer & swap in 3" XJ coils for more height & flex.
This is what it said for the upcountry now I know its for the G/C so according to this you can use those shocks cause these springs will get you 2 inches. Thanks for that article A737mech. |
