another new xj

me and my brother just brought a 97' two door xj for $400 bucks....now the plan for this one is to be an extremely cheap low budget woods jeep. unlike our other trucks this one is going to be solely for fun! and not a DD at all. now we can also get a set of 35x15 swampers. what are your ideas for the CHEAPEST possible way to combine the two together (stock+?+35s=sick low budget beater jeep). now i know there is no one right answer to this question. i just wanted to know anybody else's opinion on the best way to do it.....thanks in advance!!!

Good luck with your project....I don't know the right answer but I am sure someone will chime in for ya. My woods runner is a stock 93 GC with 31 x 10.5 and I drive it all over my property........like a mad man on a mission (if ya know what I mean):w00t:

haha thanks man yeah i know what you mean! i have my xj now but i know i have to baby her a little bit in the woods if i know whats good for me....and this new one if going to be all about no holding back fun!! i feel like the possibilities are endless if we don't care if it ever sees pavement again....so my idea for the cheapest way so far is this...lift blocks and shackles in the rear along with a cheap add a spring thing. for the front i guess i'm going to have to get new coils and then coil spacers. all of this plus trimming the S*** out of the fenders might just might be enough to squeeze the 35s under.

bastard pack in the back with shackles, and new coil springs in the front with spacers. and of course you'll need all the other misc. objects that come with lifting a jeep

haha yea unfortunately i know...but you think that'll be enough to get it up in the air? cuz i think that'll do it, on the cheapest possible budget since i don't plan on having these jeep last for to long

you should be good with that, plus like you said youll have to hack the poo out of your fenders

same i always thought it would be great if you could just do what you want with it as the ultimate toy. its my buddys jeep and he is going into the navy so he is going to just let me have it for cheap. its definitely worth more than $400 bucks but i does need a radiator, no biggie
