I'm in the middle of switching motor. I unbolted the alternator last night and one of the bolts were stripped pretty bad, so it will need to be replaced. Before I could size it up, the guy that's helping me said it was an airplane part and threw it. So now it's gone and I have nothing for comparison. Can anyone tell me the sizes of the bolts or is there somewhere that I can reference them? a junk yard bolt is out of the question, I am working when they are open and I would rather buy new than chance pulling another stripped bolt. Thanks in advance. Trying to finish my motor before the weekend.

Here's two parts catalog pages that show the bolt part sizes. These are from a 1997-1998 catalog but I checked the part numbers against those listed in the 1994-1996 catalog and they match (except the alternator part number). The '94/'96 catalog does not give bolt sizes, whereas the '97/'98 catalog does.
If you can't find metric bolts with a flange head, use a standard head bolt with a flat washer.
To enlarge the images depress and hold the 'Ctrl' key on your key board while tapping the '+' key.

Do you happen to have the bolt sizes for the power steering bracket and pump as well? I got a 92 XJ.
