Aircraft Stripper

Anyone ever use this nasty stuff for taking paint off a whole Jeep? If so school me on the subject.

I have used it once to strip down my brothers car for paint. It worked really well. Just applied it with a brush, then let it sit for a bit. Soon after, wiped it down and voila! bare metal! As long as there is no bondo/filler in there it works great. Also DO NOT GET ANY ON ANY SORT OF PLASTIC!!! Some dripped onto one plastic piece that I had, and before I could wipe it off, the paint was gone on that piece and the plastic was more like a geasy rubber.

so what would best? strip the jeep pretty much down to a steel structure, then apply with a brush? what about getting it on glass? how does the paint come off? you just pressure wash it off?

i've used the aircraft stripper before back at school...it smell horrible and it will burn your skin if you dont wear gloves...its easy ro use...just apply a thin layer on and let it set for a couple minutes, then scrap it off with a plastic scraper. its strong enough to go to bare metal :2guns:

i work in a shop and use it all the time , but i woulnt recomend it on a whole jeep , the stuff is messy and gonna get everywhere , the best way to use it is tape off what you dont want it to get on , scuff the paint a little with 80 grit paper real quick that helps the stripper get down into the paint , then cover the panels with some thick plastic sheeting , it keeps the fumes in and works 1000x better
