I'm a newbie to the forum, so I apologize in advance if this is a subject already covered. The airbag light has come on and stays on in my '99 Cherokee. I noticed that there were several answers to this problem in the Grand Cherokee section, but I'm seeking any troubleshooting advice/repair tips pertinent to my model.

OP its most likely the clock spring behind the steering wheel itself. Its an easy fix, just remove the battery cables for around 15 mins ( better safe than sorry ) and then remove the shroud around the steering column and then remove the " horn " part of the steering wheel. After that, you need a puller and then you will see the clock spring right there.
