Default Air in master cylinder

I start I have an 00 xj

I put my jeep together last night after it being up on jack stands in my front yard with no front axle for a month, when I removed the axle a month ago I took the brake lines off and they leaked fluid but then stopped leaking so I just let them hang there. Now when bleeding my brakes I have a super spongy pedal and when I pump you can hear air coming out near the master cylinder/fluid resivore Area (not sure exactly where), has anyone ever gotten air in there? And how do I bleed it out?

if you hear air near the master, you may have a leak in the booster diaphragm

If the master cylinder drained dry you'll have to bench bleed it before doing the lines.

This one's different than the XJ, but the method is the same:
