i don't know what the real numbers are on v6. i'm guessing around 230 240hp. but i beat one with a v6 in my cherokee classic. he couldn't pass me up until 75-80. it was a 4-door

iv never seen a v6 cherokee personally, i go to the junk yard almost every weeknd and all i see are 4 bangers and i6. never made alot of v6 engines eh? my guess that the i6 was more torquey and praformed better off road than the v6?. i love my i6 iv towed a 32-34 foot RV up hill with it. no one thought it could do it. and raced a v8 f-150 we was neck on neck the hole way and i still had 5th to shift into. just ran out of road. thats my experience id take a i6 over any V6 any day. and i plan on rebuilding my i6 into a stoker one day :P

Looked it up. Seems to be correct.....
The 3.7 is from the liberty's. Couldn't find anything about a 4.0 V6 in a Cherokee

dude i can't find a single realistic thread on how to completely rebuild into a 4.7 stroker. i heard you have to modify your stock sensors to get it to work right. i would love one, but i don't wanna break the bank. i got the jeep for free and i love the i6. it's a killer. i heard they can run 200-300k miles. some even more.

well, also happen to own an 04 dakota 3.7 and i promise you, it's a different beast. i trust my stock dakota off road more than i trust my 4.0 jeep. me and my wife set them head to head, and the jeep took the upper hand on the first 300-400 feet, but then i blew by it. around 45-50 it started catching up but couldn't cover it. my dakota is 5-speed.

has anyone ever done a 4.7 stroker? if so, is it worth it overall? i mean i don't wanna have a straight out drag car horsepower that get 2 miles a gallon.
