Does anyone one know if or where I could install an after-market temp gauge on a HO 4.0? I just don't trust my stock temp gauge anymore so I'd like to install another one in addition to the stock one (2 are better than one). My stock one works 95% of the time, but its that 5% that could do serious damage to my engine.

autometer elec. guage can be installed on any vehicle.

 

If you plan on using a mercury gauge there's a plug toward the back lower part of the block on the driver-side. That's were I put mine since there's nowhere to screw it into the head. But eventually I'm gonna get a later model thermostat housing to put it in. That's probably a better place.
