advice about a cherokee

How good are the 4 cylinder engine in the 80's cherokees? Will they pull 33 inch tires on the trail , say the Rubicon or the Fordyce?

It depends on the gears you're running.

Plenty of rigs out there running 4 bangers, tall rubber, and tall gears.

You won't be the fastest rig ever, but it can be done.
