Adjusting Headlights

I've only had the Jeep for a few weeks, So i just drove down to the store and noticed my driver side headlight was pointing down and to the left, I havent checked yet, figure i'll do that in the morning when there's more light. Question is, is there an adjustment i can make and is it pretty easy to get to or does the grill have to come off, Thanks!!

If you look at the headlight bezals (frames) you will see a notch to the far outside and at the top of the headlight. Using a phillips screwdriver you can adjust the headlights up and down with the top screws and side to side with the side screws.

;)

Some use a T10 Torx for the adjustment screws

Why, its a phillips head adjustment screw

On my 1998 Cherokee, it's a torx head adjusting screw.

It's a torx on my 01 maybe the older ones are philips

Holy old thread, Batman! But yes, my 98 uses torx as well, which is far superior to phillips.

I blame Steve Jobs for this horror.

Do these adjustment points apply to a 2017 Grand Cherokee Laredo? I have a right headlight that's lighting up houses next to me more than being aimed down the road...
I see the top adjustment no problem but don't see the other adjustment (the one for right and left, which I need) anywhere on the dang thing....

I don't believe there is one.

Good to know that I'm probably not blind then. Not that I looked for long, but I figured it couldn't be that hard to find since I found the other one in about 3 seconds....

Sorry that doesn't really help you much though.

Be aware that those screws are in nylon fittings and are probably rusted so bad that you either can't turn them or they will strip the threads. They are simple to replace and most auto parts stores used to stock them. They have wings that simply snap into a rectangular hole. They are probably a GM part as well. I would buy new ones before you attempt the do anything. You can pre-adjust them to the length of each of the old ones before you snap them in. It saves a lot of time getting them right. I believe they are the same as the ones on my old Chevy trucks and they rust fast.
