I think any 97+ jeep cherokee or the newer body styles is a safe bet. but check The old style jeeps as well.

Quick update. Haven't installed an electric fan yet, but did put in a new fan clutch and flushed the radiator. Drove it about 15 miles today and it never even got up to the middle of the gauge. Of course, it wasn't 103 degrees today, so there's that.

Oh definitely, I am going to put one in. Just glad that I've got the original overheating issue somewhat under control now.

Never assume its fixed lol. That is where itll get you, Once its hot again it MAY creep up again on you. But didnt hurt to replace the fan clutch as well lol. Are you using 50/50 coolant? I try to avoid using water when it is very hot it boils very quickly compared to 50/50. Not the same vehicle but my dads blazer when he had a leak even when full of water it liked to creep up in traffic in florida on a 99 degree day but once he got the leak fixed and used Dex-Cool (shivers) it never went beyond 210 and never boiled or bubbled in the overflow bottle.

I need to check the coolant - I expect it is probably less than 50/50 as I was using mainly water until I finished flushing and made sure it wasn't leaking. Planning on taking it to a shop by my house for a pressure test later this week or on the weekend.

Just now I drove it to go get a haircut. Never got much above the first mark on the way there, so on the way back I decided to try it with the A/C on. It did get up to right at the 210 mark, but no more. Just more evidence that I need the electric fan. I'll check the coolant levels before I leave to drive home (my commute is about 30 miles, so it is a good 'stress test')

Quick update. Pressure test passed - handled 20 PSI of pressure and vacuum with no leaks. Temps have been rock-solid (but it hasn't been triple digit temps here like is usual in August). New OEM Aux fan ordered from RockAuto. I had hoped to find an old style fan for the pigtail and order the newer style, but I checked both pick-a-part junkyards in town, about 15 Cherokees in all, with exactly zero aux fans. :/ Well, the old style will be fine for awhile.
