Default Acceleration issue

I recently purchased a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited with 63,000 miles. When I'm accelerating from a stop the vehicle feels like it lags. Once it finally catches up it the jeep "jolts." the rest of the acceleration is fine, until I take my foot off the gas around 30mph and then I hear a "thud" noise. Anyone know what the issue is?

Hi MoosieJeep,

Have you alerted your Jeep dealership so they can investigate further?

Kori,

Yes I did. They reprogrammed the TPS, but it did not seem to help.

You may want to let them know this did not resolve your concerns so they can further address it.

I'd heard that the new "So-called" Cherokee tranny was, how shall I say "a bit flakey"... but within 3 years and under 100k miles?... dang.

So Kori, will we ever see a -REAL- Cherokee again... you know, a high quality, long lasting, uni-frame "Wrangler" (meaning the same engine and transmission options - especially the manual - and solid axles)? Perhaps using the model name "XJ2"????
