Default AC problems

My 01 sport's ac stopped working a few years back so bought a can system to recharge when i hook it and add the refrigerant the gauge cycles from full down to low which reading is right? The ac still does not work i would assume the low. I do not want to add too much and damage the system.

Get your butts down to Sears or Kmart and buy yourself the ArcticFreeze Smart-Charge for 29.99. Start the jeep set ac to max hook box to low port, it will measure a/c system, redlight means overcharge ,yellow light stop adding refrigerant, green light proper charge , white light low charge. It even comes with a proper guide to follow ,and a troulbeshooting guide website, and 1 800 # to call when you fall on your face (get in trouble).
