I'd take the whole leaf, sawzall would be handy for any stubborn bolts that are seized and wont come out.

Thanks for asking, I was kinda wondering the same thing as i am going on tuesday to pull some s10 leafs.
I am also bringing a can of PB Blaster to help with getting the bolts out since I don't have access to a sawzaw

Best bet is to take a saw zall.Cut the leaves as close to the eyes as you can .That will be alot faster than anything else.

That's good advice to cut the main leaves as close to the eyes as possible while you're in a junkyard...
You're going to need to do that anyway, and might as well do it there and save the trouble of pulling them out, hassling with stuck bolts, etc, bringing them home and then cutting them....and cheesin' off the neighbors.
If you don't have access to a sawzall, a high-speed angle grinder will also work..preferably battery-operated.
Have fun!

Throw a couple tires that are allready there under it and cut the u-bolts off too.You will need to get new u-bolts anyhow.I would cut evrything off, springs and bolts.
