Jeep starts and runs fine in the driveway of course and then after a short drive and stop, the no start occurs. Each time it happened, I can hear the fuel pump running and stopping like it should, and I have fire. Verified by lifting a wire off the distributor and seeing it spark. Engine turns over fine and gauges look as they should when it's trying to start. Additionally, I smell fuel so it's getting fuel.
Each time, I can get it to start by opening and holding the throttle wide open until it starts and after it does, it seems to run fine. Almost like it was flooded...except that's hard to do with a FI vehicle.
I'm wondering if the TPS or the IAC is the cause of this.
Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your injectors arent opening. CPS, ECU. TPS and IAC are not going to cause this. More than likely a bad CPSOriginally Posted by gvthnks

What's the difference in the first and last CPS used in the above statement? Typo?Originally Posted by KCXJKID

If the injectors weren't opening, I'm not sure how cracking the throttle would allow them to start working and the engine crank and run normally. But that's what happens. Each time it refuses to start, pushing the pedal to the floor and opening the throttle causes it to start and run fine after that.
