Default 99 XJ Interior Lights
Hello folks,
So I have this 99 XJ that just having problem after problem. Damn thing is nickle and diming me to death! Anyhow the interior lights (all of them) just came on by them selves while parked in the drive and will not shut off. Just killed a brand new month old battery. Anyone ever encounter this issue??

Electrical short somewhere. Possibly the multifunction switch

You sure you didn't just twist them on by accident while turning on or off your headlights?

Most common to fail is the hatch sensor. Dunno if you checked that yet?

ya, sometimes i shut my back hatch and it appears shut but isn't. double check it each time.

My hatch indicator light stays on all the time. Where is the switch that triggers that. I've looked and looked.
