Default 99 TCM diagram AW4

Save it in case you have transmission problem.
It looks like everything, except BUS, can be checked by $3 multimeter from HarborFreight.

Cool, thanks.

When you say everything, except BUS, can be checked...what do you mean?

The CCD Data Bus can be checked with a Volt/Ohmmeter. Is this what you are referring to?

Nice. Two things that jump out at me:
1) The Trans solenoids are grounded through the transmission case, something I've been told in the past but not seen on a drawing, (so..check grounds when the solenoids act up) and
2) The NSS position is considered by the TCU. Good argument for cleaning/fixing it instead of merely jumpering past it when it acts up.

I looked briefly through my transmission diagnostic manual, I think BUS wires have 2.5V.
I didn't write about it, didn't have time to verify.
CCken, you know everything, is that 2.5V?
I'll post resistance of speed sensors and solenoids later, when I find them in Manual.

Is this '99 only or is it '97-01 or what?

2.51V on the Bus (-) and 2.49V on the Bus (+).

Don't want to Hi Jack your thread with the details. It's a bit drawn out.

Never mind that, lets see some more from your manuals.

I think a second tranny sensor was introduced in '98 (Input and Output). The '97 should be about the same, except for having only one speed sensor. The '01 schematic is a little different but basically the same.
