Im not sure what to put on my XJ for my use.

I do mostly around town driving on good, paved roads 30-50 miles a week. I drive on rough tar, good dirt another 100-200 miles a week. I drive 2,500 miles a year on the highway, for a total of about 10K a year.

I was looking for some nice, high performance stuff, but I probably dont need it. Im one of those guys that says "Hey, regular rotors are $50 a pair, good ones are $90 and the slotted/ported ones are $120, mine as well spend $70 more!" But, do I need to?

Im on JC Whitney looking at the Raybestos and Roto Tech rotors and drums. Are the bottom of the barrel stuff good enough or is it a good idea to upgrade?

What are good rotors & drums for my driving?

I've got stock rotors and 10" drums because my xj is a law enforcement model. When I need to I'm going to replace the rotors with some decent slotted ones. I've heard nothing but bad things regarding cross drilled. Staying away from those. Do a quick search... There's tons of info regarding brake setups.
