unscrew the little pressure switch in the door and unplug it, its the first thing this guy does in his write-up: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=408138
and yeah, i've wondered about those, will those work on a Cherokee: http://www.quadratec.com/products/13029_100.htm

If it was me I would wire a switch to disable the door switches. I would end up misplacing the little clips from Quadratec, can't misplace a switch mounted to the dash.

I'm with prerunner...... I'm doing mine this weekend, and I'm going to place a toggle switch on the dash, to kill them. That way when you have the doors off, you you just hit the toggle, and all is good my friend. I'd probably loose those damn clips too. If you look in the back of a hynes manual, it has the wire diagram.

If you take out one of the switches will it disable it for all doors or is there a circuit for each door? (I don't have a hynes manual.) I just seems like it would be difficult to wire a switch if it were 4 different circuits without running wires from the dome lamp itself to use for the switch.

By looking at the wire diagram there is one single yellow ( color depending on year) that comes off the headlight switch. I'm going to tie in right there, as that one control's the interior lights. Should be easier. I'll do it this weekend, and try and do some pix to post on here.

I have a question on the doorless write up that the one guy did on another forum, what did he do with all the wire and the harnes? And if you want to put them back on what do you do about that pin that you have to cut out?

The wiring is all disconnected under the kick panel.
For the pins, I believe people have had luck with 5/16" bolts, but the two holes (for a 97+) are different diameters because one has bushings.
