99 cherokee sport unknown wire harness

I just noticed on passenger side just under battery I found a harness that was loose and unconnected. I’ve been having continual problems with vacuum leaks. Supposedly got vacuum leaks fixed although a/c still sometimes goes thru defrost instead of vents, stalling, lack of acceleration problems, rough idling I believe I still have a vacuum problem but this disconnected harness makes me wonder if that is part of the problem. Jeep cherokee sport 4.0 liter, 139,000

A pic would help. There is a temperature sensor that is part of the battery tray. If you do not have cruise control, there will be a dangling connector there too. Doubtful that an electrical connector has anything do with a vacuum leak. It shouldn't take that long to to go through all the vacuum connections under the hood. There are planty of videos on the youtubes about using carb+choke cleaner to find vacuum leaks.
If you are unsure about a vaccum leak, you can get a mity-vac or similar. Plumb it into the vaccum system somewhere and then you will know for sure if you have a vacuum leak and also check the general health of your engine (
