i bought my cherokee with no radio

i am just wondering when i call the juckyard what years will fit mine

anything from a 97 - 01 will fit yours. Not sure, but I think the mid 90's stratus had the same radio. Thing you need to look for is the two mounting tabs (one on each side). Upper corner on one side, lower corner on the other.

I thought it was the standard Chrysler mount (one tab on the upper right side corner and one tab on the bottom side left corner, and the same plugs used since the eighties. I would agree that you should stick with something from 97 thur 01. I used one from a chrysler minivan that had CD and Cass.

Like I said, the main thing is those two tabs. Not sure which Chryslers had the same set up, but as with any electronics, the newer the better. Easiest thing would be call the JY and see if they have any 97-01 XJ's. If they don't, just go through their whole Chrysler inventory and pull the center stack off and see what type of mounts the radio has.
